Emergency Drills

Between now and the end of next week, we will be conducting some emergency drills at school as part of our ongoing Work Health and Safety procedures. One will be an Evacuation Drill and the other will be a Lockdown Drill. These are important practices so we are all aware of what to do in an emergency to remain safe. Please let me know if you have any concerns.

ICAS Results

We have received most of the ICAS results for our students, all except for the Maths results. We have been advised that there has been an approx 3-4 week delay before we will receive the certificates at which time we will present them to the students who did particularly well, at an upcoming assembly. All certificates will be sent home with participating students on that day.

Absentees

Please continue to use the electronic absence form prior to 10.00 am if your child will not be at school. We ask that you give a suitable absence reason to enable us to accurately record the information on the attendance roll. eg family holiday, OT appointment. We are required to enter information such as ‘family commitments’ or ‘family events’ as an ‘unacceptable reason’ which may impact on your child’s attendance record. Further information on absences can be found in our FAQ section under Attendance.

Book Drive

Thank you to all of our wonderful families for the huge response in donating books to support refugees from the Ukraine who have recently arrived in Perth. Also thanks to a select number of girls from 4BJ who helped sort, categorise and pack them up. Ms Carey and Mr Corr (Kapinara Relief who also conducted a book drive at his current school) have now sent them on their way!
