Triathlon Report 8.11.21

The School Sport WA Primary Championship took place at Champion Lakes on Friday 5 November. The Kapinara students raced extremely well in the swim, bike and run sections of the race.  We had the following amazing results.

A Division

Ashton G, Jeremy F and Chris D finished in 5th place. Milla T, Ryan S and Chelsea H taking 10th spot. In B Division we secured a bronze medal with the team made up of Victoria V, Noah W and Daniel P, we also had another team made up Fynn R, Max T and Arata S finish in 8th place. The strength of our teams meant we took 2nd place over all in the championship.

1st St Mark’s ACS

2nd Kapinara PS

3rd Hale School

The Kapinara athletes also completed the Aquathlon (run/swim/run) and we had stand out performances from Milla T finishing 3rd in the 12yrs female category, Meg W who was 13th in the 11yrs female category. Ashton G also finished in 3rd in the male 12yrs category and Chris D who took 10th place in the male 12yrs category.

All the students who took part in the event worked extremely hard to produce the best performance they could on the day, it was a great demonstration of resilience and determination, a special mention must go to Jed P who had a mechanical issue whilst in first position on the bike leg and still managed to finish the bike section, so his team was able to complete the race Jed and his team mates showed real Kapinara spirit. Thank you to all the parent helpers that gave their time on the day to ensure our team had all the support they needed and could focus on the event.
