Chopper landing!
The Westpac Helicopter will be landing on our Top Oval on Wednesday 30 November!!

We were fortunate to be selected for inclusion in this program that showcases how important the Service is within our local community and it will be an exciting free incursion for Years 1 – 6 (PPs and Kindy students will view the landing only). As well as experiencing the Surf Life Saving WA helicopter landing at the school, students will learn how to avoid getting into danger, staying safe in an emergency, and receive vital safety tips and advice from the very people at the forefront of our emergency services.
Students will be positioned safely in the exclusion zone prior to the helicopter landing at 11.15am and again, prior to it leaving at 12.30pm. In between these times students will also have the chance to see the helicopter up close and the state of the art lifesaving equipment used by the Surf Life Saving WA crew.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this incursion.

Peter Combe Incursion
Our students in Kindy through to Year 3 were treated to a wonderful concert in the undercover area with the legendary Mr Peter Combe. Students were singing along to the iconic Newspaper Mama, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Juicy Juicy Green Grass. Quite a few adults were heard to be singing along too!

Pre-Primary News
PP1
After doing some still life paintings of pumpkins on Halloween, PP1 decided to use the pumpkins to cook some scones!
We chopped the pumpkin, measured the ingredients, shaped the dough then ate them, YUM!
Mrs Day set us up a fancy restaurant so we all remembered our manners!

PP2
The Pre-Primary children grew garlic from seed. After much care, love and watering the garlic was ready to be picked.
Last week the children in PP2 peeled, crushed, mixed, spread and finally they feasted on Garlic Bread!

End of Year Concert
A note was recently sent home regarding our End of Year Concert.
To clarify, students DO NOT need to bring their costumes to school for the day rehearsal, they need only to arrive at the evening concert with their costumes on ready for the performance.

Year 6 Fair
The Year 6 students have been involved in a substantial, integrated body of work across several learning areas – Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS), Mathematics and Design and Technologies. This has involved the development of either a ‘good’ or service, a range of which will come together at the Year 6 Fair on Thursday 24 November. The Year 6 students have put a lot of thought and effort into creating their good/service for the event, which is an important part of the Year 6 calendar. The fair is a highlight not only for our Year 6 students, but for the whole school. Children from Pre-Primary to Year 5 attend the fair, with younger students attending first with the support of teaching and support staff. A list of ingredients included in food, drink and activities (eg playdough) can be found by accessing the link below. All goods/services will cost no more than $3.00 each, and all funds raised go back to the school. It is suggested that individual students bring a maximum of $10.00 to spend on the day.
