Principal’s Message

Dear Families

It was wonderful to see so many family members join us for the Faction Athletics Carnival today, and after a slightly chilly start, the weather was phenomenal. In addition to sporting highlights, where students applied the skills and strategies they’ve been developing and finessing in their Physical Education lessons and at Athletics Club, there were many examples of persistence, resilience and great sportsmanship. Congratulations to all our students for their efforts, attitudes and performance. I’d also like to acknowledge the expertise, commitment and exceptional organisation of Ms Liz Burrows and Mrs Jenny Carruthers, and to thank Ms Trovarelli for returning from leave to MC today. It was such a successful and enjoyable day for our school community.

Mini-Concert

This is just a reminder that our String Orchestra will be performing in the undercover area on Friday morning.  There will also be an opportunity to see and hear each of instruments played individually, and to hear the guitar ensemble  perform.

The concert will enable:

  • the orchestra to perform to an audience once more prior to the WA Schools’ Junior String Ensemble on Sunday, 11 September
  • younger students to see and hear the instruments that make up the instrumental music program (that they might be interested in learning in the future
  • parents of children who have not previously been involved in the instrumental music program and/or the orchestra to see and hear them perform

Open Day/Night

Classrooms will be open for approximately an hour in the morning and afternoon of Wednesday 7 September, and we invite you to pop in. Information will be emailed tomorrow.

Preparing for 2023

Just a reminder to please let us know if your child won’t be returning to Kapinara next year. While it seems fairly early, it is important information for our planning, particularly in terms of budgeting, and structuring classes. Thanks for your understanding in this regard.

Book Donations

Thank you for book donations received so far.
