Dear Parents and Carers

I’d like to extend a special welcome to families who are joining the Kapinara community for the first time in 2021. In addition to families with students who will start Kindergarten next year, we have a significant number of families with older students who will be at Kapinara for the first time. Some are arriving from overseas, some from interstate and some will have moved much shorter distances. Irrespective of the age of your child or children, the country you call home, or where you are currently residing – we welcome you! In the first few weeks of the school year the P & C will host a sundowner, and we would love you to join us for this event.

I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the staff, students and families who have worked together throughout a challenging year to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children at Kapinara. My warmest wishes for your special family celebrations and a wonderful vacation break.

Best Wishes
Elizabeth Blackwell

Swim Squad

Swim Squad will commence in Week 2 next year for Year 3-6 students on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. A note will be sent out in Week 1 with details of how to register.

Reports and Class Lists

We anticipate that report links will be emailed on Friday. Class lists will be placed on a password protected page on our website the week prior to school starting, an email will be sent with the password when they are available.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to the Year 1/2TB class for an outstanding class effort. They returned all their library books on time for 10 weeks!

IMMS Instruments

I’m pleased to confirm that IMSS students currently in Years 3-5 who have been hiring an instrument, either through IMSS or the school, will be able to have a violin, cello or double bass at home over the holiday period – to enable them to PRACTISE.

Containers for Change

Families who would like to collect recyclable containers during the vacation period may pick up a collection bag from outside the school office on Thursday.
The container bag will be labelled with the school Scheme ID C10288919.
The bag can either be returned to school on 11 January and 25 January between 7am and 12 noon to the undercover area or dropped directly to the depot (Recycling Waste Solutions) at 81 Hector Street Osborne Park. Collections will support the schools sustainability program and refund donation is paid to the school.

Lost

Wishing all of our families a wonderful and safe Christmas break!
