Principal’s Message
Dear Kapinara Families,
As the term progresses swiftly, our students and teachers continue to engage in their learning with great enthusiasm. This week, we have some changes in our leadership team. Mrs. Dixon, our Deputy Principal, has commenced her Long Service Leave for the remainder of the term. We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Powell as Acting Deputy Principal during this period. We have full confidence that Mrs. Powell will excel in this role. Additionally, Mrs. Black will be stepping in to teach 5P, ensuring continuity for our students.
In last week’s P&C meeting, we received exciting news regarding new resources for our school. The P&C has generously approved funding for the installation of an upgraded projector and screen in our undercover area. This upgrade will greatly benefit our students and the broader community, and we are eager to see it in action. Additionally, funds were allocated for the purchase of new bikes and trikes for our Kindergarten, which are always a favourite in our early childhood classrooms. We are incredibly grateful to the P&C for their continued support and fundraising efforts.
Last night, our School Board held an Open Meeting where several important topics were discussed. Among them were the selection of booklist suppliers for 2025, discussions about the Faction T-shirt Uniform (with more information to follow in the coming weeks), feedback on school-run events, and an analysis of our school data from the Year 1 National Phonics Assessment.
As the weather warms up, we look forward to the final weeks of the term with a spring in our step. Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead.

On the day of the fair, all year groups from Pre-Primary to Year Five will be asked to bring in $5-$10 to spend on a variety of stalls. All funds go back to the school. We thank you all for your continued support of this exciting event.
