Parent- Teacher Interviews 21 March

Thank you to the parents that have already registered for the Thursday interviews through the link that was sent out last week. The sign up link will close 3pm Wednesday.

These interviews are strictly of a ten-minute duration designed to give an update on your child/ren’s progress and flag any concerns. It is preferable that students do not attend. School will not close early as previously considered.

While it is expected that anyone coming into to the school will sign in and sign out electronically at the office, on this occasion this is not practicable. You will be able to go to directly to your child’s teacher.  You can scan the QR code available in classrooms on arrival if you haven’t already done so this year. Given that some meetings will take place during the school day, your meeting might be in another room. If your meeting is not in your child’s classroom, you will be notified of where to meet.

If parking in the Kiss and Drive, please ensure it is left vacant from 2:30pm to 3:15pm.

NAPLAN

Congratulations to all Year 3&5 students for participating in this years NAPLAN. All went smoothly. We look forward to the results arriving some time in Term 2. Catch ups will conclude tomorrow.

Harmony Day

Friday 22 March we will be celebrating Harmony Day. Students are asked to come dressed in as little or as much orange as they would like. We will have an assembly led by our Year 6 music leaders, and will feature the choir. PP-6 students will be involved in singing a whole school song to celebrate Harmony Day.

All families are eligible to apply. Please obtain your child’s student number from their School or NAPLAN reports. Kindy students will receive their number from Mrs Mee prior to the end of term.

P&C Easter Fundraisers

The Pre-Primary families have been working hard to prepare amazing raffle prizes for this years annual Easter raffle. The winner will be announced at this Friday’s Harmony day assembly. Tickets for the raffle are available for purchase on P&C Qkr.

National ride to school day is also the Friday 22 March. The sustainability committee are kindly providing a healthy breakfast in the quadrangle. The Combi coffee van will also be on site with the first 100 coffees free courtesy of local real estate agent, Greg Williams from Duet Property.

Order Lawleys hot cross buns for $8 per pack via Qkr. ($3.35 per pack goes straight into Kapinara’s fundraising account!) Orders need to be in prior to Monday 25th March and will be dropped to your child’s classroom on Thurs 28th March.

Qkr! App

Some of our families with newer models of Android phones have been unable to access the Qkr app through their phones.
Qkr! have advised that the issue has now been resolved and all Android users should now be able to download the app successfully through the Google Play Store.
