Loose Parts Incursion
Year 3H – On a hot Thursday afternoon, we got to play with Loose Parts for a whole hour!
There was some amazing equipment to use. There were toilet seats, keyboards, old telephones, barrels, wheels, mats and guitars as well as hoses.
We created our own office, with CEO’s and secretaries!
We played crocodile on the mats and made carts.
We used walking frames and crutches in interesting ways and worked together to have loads of fun.
Loose parts might seem like other people’s rubbish, but to us it was a treasure trove of playtime inspiration, and we loved it. We want to do it again and again and again!
Year 5ZG– What do you get if you combine an old swimming flipper, a vacuum tube and a giant cotton reel? A Bunnings Warehouse shop! (According to some Year 5 students)
During Week 7 the students at Kapinara took turns attending the Loose Parts Incursion. Students were exposed to a host of recycled household items and imaginations were ignited. The children were mesmerised by their own creations and new friendships forged over the bond of imaginary play. Thank you to Mrs Mee from Kindy for organising such a welcome break from the school routine.
2024 School Development Days
The School Board has approved the following 2024 School Development Days. Students do not attend. Dates will also be placed in the ‘Term Dates’ section of the website for future reference.

Kapture School Photos
We have been advised by Kapture Photography that all Portraits and Class Groups taken this year are still available for purchase but will be removed from their website at the end of Term 4.

Uniform Shop
The uniform shop will be closed for stocktaking the last week of term. They will reopen Tuesday 30 January between 9.00 and 11.00am.
Community
Christine Tonkin MLA has provided us with an opportunity to participate in a colouring competition with the winner in each year groups in the participating schools winning a $50 voucher redeemable at the Herdsman Discovery Centre shop and the runner-up a $30 voucher. Printouts are available from the school office; completed forms can be returned to us to be collected by a representative for Ms Tonkin. Entries close on 8 December.
Holy Spirit Parish City Beach Sacrament Program 2024
