Fortnightly Updates

Kapinara Primary School is excited to transition to a fortnightly communication format with both a newsletter and a community update.

What does this mean for you? Every other week, you’ll receive our comprehensive newsletter, packed with in-depth information, updates, and a special spotlight on a key school activity or event. In the alternate weeks, expect a community update with essential news, reminders, and all upcoming community events.

We value your input and welcome any feedback you may have to help us continue improving.

School Grounds Outside of School Hours

We kindly ask all parents and caregivers to ensure their children are fully supervised on school grounds outside of school hours. Recently, we’ve observed some children climbing over the fence between the Kindy area and the lower oval, as well as climbing on top of the roof of the wooden cubby house in the Kindy playground. We are concerned for their safety, as this could lead to a serious accident, and we would really appreciate your support in helping to prevent such incidents. Thank you.

P&C Corner

Every year, the P&C coordinates events supporting goals of fostering strong relationships and much needed fundraising.

This year, the P&C are doing things a little differently by providing more opportunities for people to get involved.  Each year group will have a bake sale (or similar) and fundraising event to coordinate, with the help and support of the P&C Committee.

Past events include Scitech, Election Day BBQs, Easter Raffle, Bunnings snags etc.

The BIG ones – Bingo/Trivia night and Sundowner remain the responsibility of the P&C for this coming year.

To make this a success, we will need 3-4 volunteers from each year group with one person taking the role of Project Manager/Fundraising Lead (think The Apprentice but without Donald Trump).  Links to the sign up sheet have been sent to each year group via WhatsApp.

The success of this years fundraising efforts hinge on shared responsibility and teamwork; without volunteers from our parent groups, our fundraising events cannot happen.

Thank you,
Kapinara P&C Committee
