Principal’s Message
Dear Kapinara Families,
How quickly this term has flown by! Reflecting on the past few weeks, our students have embraced many wonderful opportunities to grow and enrich their learning. From our exciting sporting carnivals to the academic highlights of Speech Night, Book Week, and Science Week, it has been a busy and rewarding time.
Last night, our Year 5 and 6 debating students took part in some impressive debates in the School Library. They were exceptionally well-prepared, presenting compelling arguments supported by strong evidence. It was wonderful to see their debating skills in action. A big thank you to Ms Lund for her dedication in supporting our students, organising the event, and coordinating with Leslie, who leads our after-school debating group. We are also grateful to the Kapinara parents and families who came along to support the evening.
Today, our Kindy to Year 1 students participated in the Tabloid events, which were wonderfully organised by Ms Carruthers. Her hard work and attention to detail ensured the event ran smoothly, and it was fantastic to see our Year 6 leaders assisting at each station. Their patience and care were truly appreciated as they supported our younger students. The event was very well attended, showcasing the strong community spirit we have here at Kapinara.

As we approach the end of the term, I’d like to wish all our students, staff, and families a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for Term 4.
Wishing you all a wonderful week and a great start to the holidays!

2024 Interschool Athletics Carnival
Athletics Interschool Carnival was held at Woodlands Primary School Reserve on Wednesday 11 September. We had a lovely warm sunny day for a team of 65 competitors giving it their best in track and field events.
There were many personal best performances on the day, with lots of podium finishes for all years. We had 6 participating schools this year and it was a very competitive competition. Kapinara came so close to winning with only 28 points the difference. Special mention to Mia T, George V, Scarlett Mc, Nixon G . Lola E and Emmy T who all placed in their events and made Kapinara a strong team to beat.
Champion : Year 4 Boys – Cooper Ly
Runner up : Year 3 Boys – Grayson V and Jack K.
Well done boys for your champion efforts on the day.
Thankyou to the parent helpers that came out and volunteered their time to support the team and teachers Mr Watson and Mr Hodgson for their expertise at Athletics training, it takes a Kapinara Community to make it happen.
