DATE: Wednesday, 10 August 2022 at 6:00pm
TIME: Orchestra and stagehands to arrive at 5.20pm. Other students to arrive at 5.30pm for a 6pm start. It is anticipated that the Soirée will be finished by 7pm.
VENUE: Paul Latham Auditorium, Churchlands Senior High School. 20 Lucca St, Churchlands
AUDIENCE: Doors will open to audience members at 5.50pm. Please be aware that seats are not allocated.
Students will be seated in the first 2 rows and will be collected by parents after the performance. Parents with children who are only performing first in Orchestra, please save a seat for your child so that they can sit with you after their performance. All other children will sit in the first two rows and come up on stage when it is their turn to perform.
TRANSPORT: Parents are responsible for transport to and from the venue
REASON FOR EXCURSION: The Soirée provides an opportunity for students to perform to an audience in an authentic context
YEAR GROUP ATTENDING: Choir, String Orchestra, Year 6 Guitar Ensemble & Year 6 instrumentalists
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Children must be in full orchestra/choir uniform (organised through the P & C’s Uniform Shop). Any guitarists not in the choir should wear a plain, white button-up shirt, black pants and black shoes (not joggers). It is suggested that students who will be seated on stage, wear pants rather than a skirt.
PERMISSION: Permission is required and can be completed via the School Events section on Qkr. If not using Qkr, please return the hard copy to the music drawer in the office.
TICKETS: Tickets cost $5:00 each and must be purchased prior to the event as there will be no door sales. Please purchase via the Qkr app in the School Events section. You will not be issued with a physical ticket as your name will be ticked off at the door. Children performing in the soiree do not require a ticket.
Tickets will be limited to two per family until 1 August. After this date, any remaining tickets will be released for purchase. This is to ensure that families do not miss out.
NB Purchasing tickets is separate on Qkr to completing the permission note on this occasion. Please remember to also go to the permission slip section of the app.
