ABODA Orchestra Festival
Our Kapinara Orchestra performed beautifully at Sunday’s festival. They received a well-deserved result of ‘EXCELLENT’ for their performance. Congratulations!! Well done musicians and special thanks to our Strings Ensemble Director, Ms Therése Arnold.
Interschool Athletics Carnival
Families of students participating in the Interschool Athletics Carnival were notified today that tomorrow’s carnival had been cancelled due to the severe weather warning. The carnival will now be held next Wednesday 20 September. Could families of the interschool team please contact Mrs Scott if you are aware of your child being absent on this day so that the reserve team members can be prepared.
Given that the carnival will be next week, there will be one more athletics training added on Thursday this week. No training next Monday. Rest up!
School Photos
The school photo orders will be coming home very soon. Please note the following:
- Magnetic photo frames and additional prints are slotted between the prints of your package.
- Key chains are packed separately and distributed by the school office to the classroom teachers, who then distribute to the students. Check with your teacher if you have not received yours.
- Sibling photos are delivered to the eldest child and placed inside their photo package as additional prints if applicable.
- Digital negative orders will be sent to your email address supplied within 3-5 days of the school photo delivery. Don’t forget to check your junk mail folders.
- You are still able to place additional orders via the Kapture website taken on school photo day. Use the same school code as previously supplied.
If you ordered photos more than 10 days after photo day, your order will be handled separately and mailed directly to your home address within the next 28 days. Check your confirmation email for more information.

Saver Plus helping with School Camps
Saver Plus encourages eligible parents to save $50 a month (for 10 months). Saving is then matched – a free $500 for education costs, making $1,000 available for the school camp.
Families that start saving in September, will have their savings ready to pay their school camp fees in July 2024.
Managing Allergies at High School
A school holiday workshop for children with allergies in middle school or heading to high school.At this age kids are becoming more independent and taking more responsibility for managing their own allergies.
Our first workshop for high school kids works to empower them to manage their allergies, develop independence and advocate for themselves at school, with friends and in the community. It is a great way to meet other kids with allergies.
We will work in groups and develop comics while we work through;
– carrying medication
– self advocacy
– assertiveness
– meeting new people
– coping with fears, worries and anxiety
– transition to high school
