Soiree

The annual celebration of our Instrumental Music School Program was held last night in the Concert Hall at Churchlands Senior High School. We were incredibly proud of our students, who showed both artistic skill and bravery to perform live in front of an audience.

The Instrumental Music School Program requires students to show dedication and commitment as success with a musical instrument is not instantaneous! Our students receive a weekly tuition lesson at school and then practice at home to perfect their new skills and it was wonderful to hear the results of all their hard work. Thank you to all those who support our students to achieve their best in this area: our Instrumental Music Teachers; Ms Therese Arnold (Violin and Viola), Ms Alexandra Bak (Cello), Ms Anna Person (Double Bass) and Ms Sabina Ibrahimbegovic (Guitar), our Choir and Musical Director, Ms Anja Cirkovic; and our parents, for all the encouragement.

Kapinara Japanese Homestay

In Week 2 of this term, students from Minatoku, Tokyo, Japan joined us for an Australian homestay experience. Special thanks to the Kapinara community, hosting families, teachers and students for making the experience so amazing! I would especially like to thank the hosting families for making such an enormous effort to make the Japanese students time in Australia so memorable!
