School Photos
Wednesday 2 August and Thursday 3 August
Please not that we have requested additional sibling photography time due the volume of orders in previous years. Please disregard how many spaces remain on the Kapture website as they will monitor and increase the capacity if required.
Sibling photos can ONLY be ordered online. Once you receive the personalised flyers for your children, it is imperative that you order your sibling photo to avoid missing out!
If maximum capacity is not reached, sibling orders close 12pm midday sharp, one business day prior to the first photo day.
The school or the photographers cannot accept late orders for sibling photography. Please do not ask as your request simply cannot be accommodated.
Order EARLY for discount photo day prices
Order your photos within 10 calendar days of photo day to receive discount photo day prices. Late orders are handled separately to the school delivery and incur a $30 custom service charge.
Bookweek
The Children’s Book Council theme for this year’s Bookweek is Read, Grow, Inspire!
On Friday 25 August, Kapinara will celebrate Bookweek by holding a book parade during the 6L assembly. We would love students to dress up as their favourite book character (and bring along the book their character is from) or in a costume inspired by this year’s theme. This is not a competition and students are encouraged to create their own imaginative costume! Parents are most welcome to attend.
The Year 1-6 students will also be celebrating with an incursion by The Literature Centre, during Bookweek. The cost of the incursion is $8.50 per child and this is payable through Qkr! by Wednesday 16 August.
2024 Planning
Term Three is when we start our planning for the following year. It would help us greatly if you could contact us if you know your child will not be returning to Kapinara in 2024. While it seems fairly early, it is important information for our planning, particularly in terms of budgeting, and structuring classes. We appreciate your understanding and help in moving smoothly into next year!
Athletics Training
Athletics training is on again!
Monday mornings 7.30am and Thursday afternoons 3:10pm. Students in Years 3 to 6 are welcome to join in. Please bring a full drink bottle, hat, comfortable running shoes and a smile.
Last session will be the Monday 11 September.
Save these dates :

Junior Tabloids Tuesday 5 September (week 8).
Interschool Athletics Wednesday 13 September (Week 9). (apologies my last email had the wrong dates for Interschool Athletics)
