Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Carers
I’d like to share with you the excitement of the Kapinara team winning the interschool swimming carnival last week. After two or three years of placing second, which we were also incredibly proud of, Kapinara Primary School placed first out of the 9 Teams who competed at HBF Stadium last Tuesday. Congratulations to our interschool team and those who have worked with them; coaching, supporting and encouraging. Thank you to the students who represented our school, to Ms Liz Burrows, Mrs Jenny Carruthers and Mrs Kate Scott – our Physical Education specialists; and to the staff and parents who assisted at Swim Squad.
Best wishes
Elizabeth Blackwell

The Interschool Swimming Carnival took place on Wednesday 24 April at HBF Arena.
We had too many 1st, 2nd and 3rd places to recognise all the students by name this year!
Below is a table to reflect our results across the day. There were several standout performances from the following students.
Michael E won all of his A Division events and was crowned the Year 5 Champion boy.
Mia T won all of her events and was crowned Year 4 Champion Girl.
Mollie E was awarded Year 6 Runner up Champion Girl and Cooper L was awarded Year 4 Runner Up Champion boy. Caitlyn H in Year 4 won all her respective events.
The Year 4 girls relay team made up of Mia T, Caitlyn H, Yvonne C and Alyssa B won their relay event and the Year 6 girls relay team made up of Ellen M, Lola E, Ruby H and Mollie E won the last race of the day, securing the overall win for the school!!
Outstanding sportsmanship was displayed by all our swimmers which was brilliant to see. Thank you to all the staff who helped us run the school swim squad this term. We appreciated all parents who came to support the Kapinara swim team and a huge thank you to our parent helpers on the day.
