Principal’s Message

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 3!

Today, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet all the students. I visited as many classrooms as possible to greet everyone personally. We also gathered for an assembly where I was able to introduce myself and share some stories and photos with the students.

I am genuinely thrilled about becoming a part of the warm and welcoming community here at Kapinara. The school exudes a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s evident that the community is both friendly and supportive. I would just like to take the opportunity to thank and appreciate the many years of service Mrs Blackwell has provided. It was evident in our handover meetings that she cares deeply for the students and school of Kapinara.

Looking ahead, we have an exciting term planned with a full calendar of events. We’ll be celebrating themed weeks such as NAIDOC Week, Science Week, and Book Week, along with our
much-anticipated Faction Carnival later in the term.

Thank you all for the warm welcome thus far. If you spot me around the school grounds, please don’t hesitate to come up and say hello—I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you better.

Wishing you all a fabulous rest of the week.

Kylie Reeves
Principal

Instrumental Music Lessons

We welcome Mr Christian Read from IMSS who will be the Violin & Viola teacher for this term, commencing Friday. Ms Kirsty Malcolm will continue to take Double Bass lessons in Mrs Person’s absence. Due to the reschedule, some instrumental lesson times have been changed to the following.

School Dental Van

The school dental van is a free service and will be situated at City Beach Primary School until the end of the year. Enrolments forms will be sent home in the next day or so for students not currently enrolled. If your child normally attends a private dental clinic and you wish to continue to do so, please disregard the enrolment. If you would like to register your child, please return the envelope to the note drawers in the front office.
