Principal’s Message
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing break, with students returning refreshed and ready for an exciting and productive term ahead.
During yesterday’s School Development Day, our staff worked diligently to prepare for the upcoming Public School Review in Week 4. This review provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our practices and celebrate our achievements while identifying areas for growth. In addition to these preparations, staff also focused on setting the groundwork for what promises to be a productive and busy Term.
This morning, our Year 6 students enthusiastically set off for their camp at Dwellingup, ready for a week full of outdoor adventures and the chance to enjoy some screen-free time. With an exciting itinerary planned, I’m looking forward to joining them later in the week and being part of the fun.
Last term, our School Board, P&C and staff all played a vital role in shaping the Kapinara Communication Policy, ensuring it reflects and accommodates the diverse perspectives of our school community. This new policy includes a Communication Matrix, clearly outlining our communication platforms, their purposes, and the frequency of updates. It is a fantastic resource to help strengthen and streamline communication across our school community. You can find the policy on our school website, alongside our Positive Behaviour Policy and Mobile Phone Policy.
I encourage all families to take a moment to review these documents, so together we can maintain consistent and supportive communication between home and school, using shared language for the benefit of our students.
Looking forward to another great term with you all!
Kylie
School Board Membership
There is a position that has become available for a term of up to 2 years for someone within our school community to join the Kapinara School Board. The Board plays an important role in contributing to good school governance, so that resources are used efficiently, and community expectations and the school’s priorities reflect the needs of our students. Being a member of the Board is an important and rewarding role that contributes greatly to the success of our school.
If you are interested in nominating yourself, please complete the nomination form and either scan and email to Kylie.Reeves@education.wa.edu.au directly, or hand to the office in a sealed envelope marked ‘Confidential’ School Board, by 15 October 2024.

Congratulations Zlata, we’re very proud of you!
