Date of excursion: Wednesday 10 October 2018 – Friday 19 October 2018 (8-day series)

Special requirements: All students are encouraged to be sun-smart, to use sun screen and appropriate T-shirt or rash shirts. Swimming goggles are permitted but snorkelling goggles are not suitable.
Students are to arrive at school in their school uniform. As we are not swimming until the afternoon students should bring their labelled bathers, appropriate T-shirt or rash shirt, thongs/slip-on shoes and a towel/poncho in a reusable bag, also labelled. Students will change into their bathers at school, prior to their lesson. Students will change back into school uniform on return to school.
Students with long hair are requested to have it tied back.
Bus cost and pool entry: $55.00
This cost will be added to your Term 4 account or alternatively you may pay this cost at any time through internet banking or at the school office.
Please return the attached permission slip and the Interm Swimming Enrolment form to your child’s class teacher by Friday 14 September 2018.

Join us at JJ Kings Café in Floreat for a night of fun and laughter.
Share in some canapes and sip on some bubbles while you enjoy a fashion parade with special guest models (all of whom are amazing women, mums from Kapinara PS) dressed by Peggy from et seq fashion. After the fashion parade, indulge in some shopping time courtesy of Linda from The Suite homewares and collectibles, and Peggy from et seq, as they host small groups in their stores for exclusive shopping access.
Your ticket price of $42 includes a complimentary drink on arrival, canapes, a $5 donation to Kapinara P&C, and associated booking fees, as well as entry into a door prize draw kindly donated by The Suite.

REASON FOR EXCURSION: This semester 5/6S and 5/6D have been focusing on sustainability and the effects plastic has on our environment. The opportunity to clean up our beaches will be a way of assisting with the problem and links in to Kapinara’s values ‘service for others’

This year the art show
This year the art show is being held in Term 4. We encourage the children to invite grandparents and extended family to the event so that they can show the work they have produced over the year.
We encourage families to take part in the Family Sculpture ‘Project. This year’s theme is ‘Something that starts with ‘S’. Please remember sculptures need to be made of recycled materials with a maximum height of 1.5 metres. put your thinking caps on!

REASON FOR EXCURSION: To participate in a Bush Party learning experience and to study animals as part of our Science “Life and Living” topic.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: School uniform, closed in shoes, school hat, small backpack with morning tea, lunch and water bottle inside.

Venue: Meet at Luita Street Reserve (rear of Scouts Hall, off Weaponess Rd) Students will be performing on the main stage at 8.25am for 20 minutes only.
Reason for excursion: We have been invited to perform at the fair
Activities: Choral Singing
Year Groups: Combined Girls and Boys Choir
Cost: No cost
Payment Due: Nil
Children will need to wear their full choir uniform. Please note children must be in full choir uniform to perform.
After the performance each student will receive a lunch and drink voucher to be redeemed at the fair.
Staff Attending: Mrs Blackwell, Miss Li and Miss Stewart
Staff will supervise children when they are assembling for their performance and on stage. Parents are asked to assume responsibility for their child/children both prior to the group assembling at 8:05am, and immediately following the performance.
Please return the attached permission slip by Monday 22nd October to the allocated drawer at the front office so final preparations can be made.
Prompt return of permission slip to front office would be greatly appreciated.
