CoVid Update from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
As you know, Premier Mark McGowan has announced that WA will enter Phase 3 of the ‘road map’ at the end of this week. We are currently waiting to receive updated information from the Department of Education in terms of implications for public schools. I will let you know as soon as we have this information to consider and share.
In the meantime …
The strategies put in place to minimise the potential impact of COVID-19 have given us all opportunities to critically reflect on many of the things that we do, how we do them and why. As a staff we have spent the last two months reflecting on and discussing a range of practices. While I’m aware that change is often accompanied by some degree of anxiety, I believe we have a unique opportunity to look closely at what we do; to take forward what works well (particularly for children) and to do other things a little differently. In the next few weeks I will share with you some of our observations, and also look forward to gaining the perspectives of families (parents and children) in the next few weeks.
