SCHOOL BANKING

School Banking will recommence this Wednesday on the landing to the dungeon.


CHOIR

Choir will recommence on Thursday 22nd April. Mrs Davey will meet the children at 7.55am in the undercover area.


ORCHESTRA

Orchestra resumes as normal for students tomorrow morning.


RUNNING CLUB

Running Club will commence on Wednesday 28 April and will take place every Monday and Wednesday mornings between 7.30am and 8.30am. The last day for training will be Wednesday 23 September (Week 10 of Term 3). The club is intended to help students improve their running technique and fitness in preparation for the upcoming cross-country carnivals. We would like to invite students from Years 3-6 who are keen to practise their running to come along. We would recommend students bring snacks for after training and a second set of shoes for days when the grass is wet. Mrs Burrows and Mr Hodgson will be coaching. ABSENTEES

FULL DAY  If your child is going to be absent from school, please complete the online absentee advice on our website. You will find this it the top right of our home page. Please include the reason for the absence. We are required to mark the absence as ”unacceptable reason’ should the information be incomplete.

APPOINTMENTS Should it be unavoidable to take your child out for an appointment or will be arriving late or leaving early, please also complete the online absence. Use the drop down box to advise that it is a partial absence and note the arrival or departure time.

Both absentees come through to Admin and are forwarded onto your child’s teacher/s.


ANZAC DAY

Friday 23rd April will see our school commemorating ANZAC DAY with a service run by the Year 3 cohort and Year 6 Leaders.
Could all students please bring in flowers and or ivy/ greenery for the wreaths that will be laid as a part of the ceremony on Friday, 23rd April.
If there are any parents who would be able to assist in making the wreaths, please contact Mrs Hopetoun-Smith as soon as possible. Gloves and secateurs will be required.


KAPINARA DISCO – Pyjama Party theme!

The Year 6 families are hosting the upcoming Kapinara Pyjama Party Disco.
The disco will be held in the undercover area at Kapinara PS on Friday 30th April

Kindy – Year 2 (4.30pm – 6.00pm)
Year 3 – Year 6 (6.30pm – 8.00pm)

Dress up in your cosiest PJ’s- we’ll make sure they don’t fall asleep!!! Please place order forms and correct cash ($15 per child & discount for larger families) into a sealed envelope and deposit into the Disco drawer in the school office by Friday 23rd April. Physical tickets will not be distributed.  Your child’s name will be added to a list and ticked off on arrival and departure on the night.
