General News Week 9

UPCOMING CHANGES TO PROCEDURES

Next term we are moving  to the next phrase of our electronic changes to some of our procedures.

Absences Our preferred method in preparation for this is for all absences to be advised via the absentee tab on our website, available on both computers and smart phones. This can be used for absentees due to illness or other reasons. If you are requesting leave from the Principal for a family holiday, please also use this method and it will be forwarded on to her.

Late Cards This will remain the same, with your child expected to collect a late card from the office. Students who arrive after 9.25am will be considered absent for the morning period as students must attend 120minutes of instructional time per half day to be considered present.

Leave Passes The previous method of completing an entry/exit slip has been replaced with a Leave Pass to be filled out at reception prior to collecting your child. Leave passes are for students leaving school grounds for activities/appointments.

For PEAC, parents should email kapinara.PS@education.wa.edu.au advising when the students will be away from school, including times, days and who they will be travelling with. PEAC will not need to use the Leave pass system.

Change of Bank Account Details The majority of our families pay their term accounts via Internet Banking. In readiness for the new payment method that we will be implementing, our bank account details have changed. For those families, please note the new account details. These details will also be on the front page of each newsletter and is in the process of being changed on the website.

REPORTS

As previously advised, school reports this semester will be distributed electronically. The system will generate the email addresses from the family mail marker function that we currently use ie the same system that generates the mailing list for the school newsletter. If you currently receive the newsletter you will receive the link to your child’s report in Week 10. If there are any changes to these email addresses please advise as soon as possible.
