On Thursday last week, the Year 3 – 6 students attended the fantastic Scribblers Festival at Scotch College. During the event, students had the opportunity to listen to multiple authors and illustrators talk about their books and inspirations, draw, and learn about the fascinating world of story writing! Many students heard from spectacular writers, such as Nicki Greenberg, PJ Lynch, Campbell Whyte, David Astle and Richard Fairgray. They spoke about their life and vision, the journeys to create their books and inspired us to create our own. Did you know that acrobat has NINE animal names in it? We challenge you to find them all. The Year 3/4s had fabulous fun learning how to draw ‘Old Tom’ and finding ways to ‘slow down’. At the end of the day, the Year 5s and 6s hopped onto the stage and had their photos taken by the Scribblers logo. This was by far one of the best excursions ever!
