End of Year Concert 2020
The children of Kapinara Primary will be putting on the annual End-of-Year Showcase. This year’s theme is ‘Travel Through Music!’ With this crazy year we have not been able to travel as much so we thought we would treat you to some music from around the world! This will also be showcasing what we do in our Music Unit – ‘World-music’.
We hope to see you and your families and friends there.
Date: Thursday, 3 December 2020
Place: Kapinara Primary School – Upper Oval
Time: 5.30pm – 6.15pm – Junior Primary Concert(Kindy to Year 2’s)
Time: 6.15pm – 7.00pm – Interval
Food and drinks will be available for purchase – more information to follow from the P & C. Alternatively you can bring a picnic to share with the family. There will be areas to spread a blanket and low chairs. There will also be areas for you to be able to put up a standard size folding chair. The P & C will send out further information regarding seating.
Time: 7.00pm – 8.00pm – Upper Primary Concert (Year 3 to Year 6’s)
Costumes:
Kindy: Mrs Mee will advise
Pre-primary: Mrs Lovela and Mrs Minissale will advise
Year 1C, 1T & 1/2TB: Australia
Clothes: Brown, black, white plain T-shirt and shorts.
Shoes: flip flops / Sandals / black or white trainers
Volunteers needed (the more the better): to help with simple face painting on during the day of the concert (dots). Please let me know ASAP if you can help at sarina.li@education.wa.edu.au
Year 2D &2BJ: Early Settlers (old fashioned costumes)
Girls: dress/ skirt over knees
Boys: plain shirts, pants/shorts, dull colours option: bowties, suspenders
Shoes: black, brown, grey or white
Year 3F & 3H: Japan
Hip – hop
Loose, baggy t-shirt and pants or trackies
Sunglasses
Trainer shoes
Option accessories eg. big chains, head bands, hat backwards, beanie
Year 4P & 4ZW: China
Chinese New Year
Clothes: Lots of red with traces of gold (eg. Gold Belt, Gold hair accesaries)
Girls: hair in two high buns or two high piggy tails.
Boys: hair can tie up if longer
Shoes: black, white or grey trainers
Year 5LJ: Trinidad
Calypso
Girls: Hoola skirts / grass skirts / colourful skirt, colourful tops or bikini OVER another top
Boys: Hawaiian shirt / colourful shirt and colourful shorts
Accessories: flower necklace, flower crowns
Shoes: flip flops
Year 6D and 6S: Brazil
Carnivale
Boys & Girls: Bright colourful clothing
Hair: Crazy- lots of options – spray colour, teased, ribbons
Shoes: colourful trainers or sandals
Volunteers needed: to cut colourful material to tie on children’s arms. Please let me know ASAP.
The idea of the costumes is to contribute to the fun of the evening for the children. It is not our intention to put families under pressure, so please keep the costumes simple.
