This Summer WAAPA at ECU, Mt Lawley is offering an exciting performing arts program for students from Years 1 to 12. SUBIACO MARIST CRICKET CLUB

Welcome to the 2018/19 Subiaco Marist Cricket Club cricket season! We field teams for girls and boys aged from 5 – 17, and always keen to welcome new players.
Our introductory Cricket Blasters programs are for kids new to cricket, teaching them the basics of cricket in a fun, safe and interactive way. Held at Newman College 5pm Fridays.
We also have teams in each year level from under 10 to under 17, where young cricketers can develop their skills and enjoyment of the game, with mid-week training and games on Saturday or Sunday (depending on grade).

City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club is hosting its annual Nipper Registration Day on Sunday 16th September between 3pm and 5pm.
For children aged between 6 and 13 years, Nippers is a safe and fun environment to learn ocean skills. Come down and speak to our Club Age Managers and take a tour inside our new state of the art building. Learn valuable life skills at our beautiful beach and become a part of a wonderful community. There will be entertainment and prizes, plus our Galley Bar will be open for refreshments.

Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia together with the National Allergy Strategy will hold an information evening to provide guidance and support for those suffering with severe allergic disease.
A/Prof Richard Loh (paediatric clinical immunologist) will talk about oral immunotherapy for food allergy. Maria Said, CEO of Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia will also present.
There will also be a panel of specialists including an adult immunologist and paediatric immunologist who will be ready to answer questions that you may have.
You will also find out about the National Allergy Strategy food allergy prevention project.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY PROGRAM  – Research Volunteers Required

 The research team at the Neurocognitive Development Unit will be hosting their popular Children’s Activity Program during the July school holidays (2nd July-13th July) at The University of Western Australia. 
The program is held in a child-friendly environment, which features space-themed activity rooms and an outdoor playground.  Throughout the day, children complete a range of computer tasks, word games and puzzles. We will also be using brain wave technology to examine the activity of the brain whilst children perform computer tasks. Children who have attended our previous holiday programs have had a fantastic time, whilst contributing to important developmental research.

Registrations are now open for the 2018 Winter Squad season at
Squad training will commence on Monday 14 May at the heated pool at Newman College at 4pm.

Name a shark!

Each year, the Ningaloo Outlook tagging and tracking research team heads to Ningaloo Reef to tag a small number of whale sharks. This involves attaching tagging technology to allow the movement of these animals to be tracked. You can view these movements at seaturtle.org/tracking
So… the team need a few names for whale sharks that we will be tagging in June…
If you think you can come up with an inspirational name please send it into us by the 20th May 2018.
We will then short-list three names for you to vote on, with the top three names to be announced at the Whale Shark Festival – Exmouth (26th May 2018).

Cambridge Library Holiday Fun
Cambridge Library will be the place to visit during the school holidays. Chickens will be hatching from 16 April; there will be a wedge tailed eagle, falcon and some owls visiting on Monday afternoon 23 April that you can touch; 3 stations of Lego to create with on Tuesday morning 24 April and lots of feathers to hunt for (see attachment) leading up to the Scribblers Festival in May.
