2021 Faction Swimming Carnival – Report

Faction Swimming Carnival Report 2021
The faction swimming carnival took place at HBF stadium on Friday 12th March for students in Year 4 to 6. The strength and depth of our students’ swimming has once again improved on last year.  We added 3 extra events to this year’s programme to accommodate a higher number of students nominating to participate in the butterfly event, which is a credit to those students who trained hard and “had a go” in a tough event.
Our Year 6 champion Girl was Audrey L, beating our runner up girl Milla T to the top spot by only one point. Year 6 champion boy was Ashton G winning every individual event he participated in. Runner up Year 6 boy was Jeremy F. Year 5 champion girl was Hope. M who beat Runner up Victoria V by a narrow 3 points. Year 5 champion boy was Cooper W and Year 5 runner up boy was Casey E. Year 4 champion girl was Harper T who won every event she participated in. The Year 4 runner up girl was Rayne. V. Year 4 champion boy was Jayden who secured victory with his outstanding performance in the 50m butterfly event. Year 4 runner up boy was Nate S.
The winning faction this year was Winter, breaking the Strickland chain of victories over the past 3 years. Our faction Captains did a great job at their first carnival of the year.
We would like to thank all of the parents who spectated and helped on the day and those who give their time to support our coaches at swim squad.

Swimming Squad will continue throughout the remainder of the term, ending on the last Monday of week 9, 29th March.
